No Prussian crown date stamp to the blade’s spine (it has a weapon number “58” which corresponds with the guard number), the tiny original corresponding rack number to the cross guard side, this is a very early M1811 Blucher (Modeled after but heavier than the British 1796P light cavalry sabre). The “58 M 1” original stamp; some say it is a cavalry regiment rack number, some stay it is a stores number. The trouble is, there does not appear to be an accurate record and Prussian markings did not follow a set pattern until much later. I think it most logically is a regimental rack number as it is too small and does not make sense as a store number, but you make up your own minds. Perhaps it was at Waterloo, perhaps it wasn’t.
The “T A IV 6” is a much later marking for an Artillery Train trooper when the sword was passed down and on from a cavalry regiment. The scabbard has markings for Jager / Jaeger regiments, munitions supply again.

The sharpened 32 inch blade has some nicks but is in good condition and firm in the hilt / grip. The steel stirrup hilt / guard is in good condition but has wear and age (light inert rust patina patching). The original ribbed leather grip is very good for its age. The heavy steel scabbard has a couple of tiny ding and patina corresponding to that of the hilt, but is in good condition. The sword sheathes and draws well.
