Marked at the forte to “J W Chudley & Co Birmingham”, a rare maker.

The plain 23 inch blade is in good condition and firm in the hilt. The brass hilt / guard in good condition; the button catch release is present but bent (it does work with care). The grip in good condition. The scabbard has a break one side which may be improved with a good leather glue rather than the tape present at the moment, otherwise the scabbard is good for age. The sword sheathes and draws well.
Nice example. Bargain price; was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference ZZ78. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1733-81x15x14 (1.358)
