Circa 1850/60. The Crimean War and others of the period proved the need for British army hospital privates to be armed! Often confused with the curved blade, otherwise virtually identical, early 1800’s British Customs Officers Sword.

The 26 3/4 inch period sharpened (no nicks) blade is in good condition with a steady patina throughout and firm in the grip / hilt. The brass hilt / guard is aged but good. The ribbed cast iron grip is good. There is no scabbard.
Every NHS worker should (maybe) have one! Just £300. Please quote item reference ZZ54. Further full sized images available upon request. Box 1704-92x15x14 (1.312)
