Serial number 90020 for 1966. It may be possible to identify the original owner / officer for a was £? (too late, now sold) to Royal Armouries who hold the Wilkinson sales ledger.
The 32 1/3 inch blade has a good deal of patina / inert rust patches, but the etching is still clear, blade firm in the hilt. The hilt is generally good on the outside, a bit light rusted inside the bowl guard; a good metal finishing polish would probably make the front of the guard look near new. Grip and twisted grip wire in very good condition. Leather sword knot good. Leather field service scabbard in good condition; the sword sheathes and draws well.
