True silver (see blood red result of acid test photo). This is a Silver Burmese Shan Dha, not a Shan DAI Dha, as it has no lotus bud pommel. The lotus bud pommel on this has been removed / lost. You will see many similar (with no Lotus bud pommel) being sold as Shan Dai Dha, when they are not. This and a true Silver Burmese Shan Dai Dha were bought back after WW2 from Burma (Myanmar) by a British Intelligence Officer.

The 22 inch blade is in god condition, some wear, firm in the hilt. The hilt / grip has lost a few of its woven grip rings but is otherwise good for its age. The scabbard / sheath worn but good. The dha sheathes and draws well. 33 Inches overall when fully sheathed.
We have seen similar (lotus bud absent) selling for the thousand pound mark, so our price of was £? (too late, now sold) is an absolute bargain. Please quote item reference ZZ07. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box n/a
