A genuine antique / Victorian RN officer’s sword; the blade particularly good (one nick to cutting edge). Etched to retailer Miles of Woolwich, now a part of London. The grip would probably clean right up with a medium toothbrush and hot soapy water.
The 29 3/4 inch well etched blade in very good condition save for a single more recent nick to the cutting edge; all firm in the hilt. The hilt in good shape / condition; the folding guard section works well. White fishskin grip grubby but in good condition. Scabbard aged but quite good; replacement period chape. The sword sheathes and draws well.
Exceptionally good value at was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference ZY82. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1946Â 94 x 15 x 16 (1.45).
