Blade signed Uda Sanekuni 宇多真國. There were two Etchū Province smiths using that name / mei, one 2nd generation during the Kakitsu era (1441-1444), one a Toko Taikan ¥3.8M rated smith and 3rd generation during the Meiō era (1492-1501).

The 11 1/2 inch nagasa (cutting edge section) blade has been western polished / buffed (no scratch / polishing marks but the hamon is only just visible), is in very good condition and firm in the hilt / tsuka (we have added a modern sepa washer to make it firm). The furniture (tsuka, tsuba, fuchi, meunuki, seppa, ito, rayskin same, kashira) are all very good. The saya / scabbard is aged and has some damage (see photos). The sword sheathes and draws well.
A very very nice circa 560 year old blade in good wakizashi mounts; a snip at was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote iitem reference ZY79. Further / full sized images available upon request. Tube 1949 65 x 11 (1.31).
