Unkown armourer marks, plus taismans, this is a quality / well made tulwar. If you get the additional photos, look at the patina / tarnish patterns (which we have not removed) as these indicate something more than even wootz steel. And, when you look at the construction design of this sword, it is easy to see where the British sword makers got many of their ideas from; in this sword’s case, the forte (very much like the late 19C Scottish fortes) and quill point.
The exceptional 30 3/4 inch blade is aged but is in very good condition, some rust patches, but not many. Blade firm in the hilt. The steel hilt with quality pommel, and grip, all in good condition. The leather bound wooden scabbard is as found / seen; not great, but good to have. The sword sheathes and draws well.
An exceptional sword at an exceptionally good price of was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference ZY53. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1884 97 x 16 x 15 (1.675).
