The 31 1/2 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The brass hilt with some gilt patches is in good condition; the folding guard section works well. The fishskin grip a little grubby is good, as are the twisted grip wire bindings. Sword knot a little dull but good. The brass fittings over blackened leather scabbard is good; brass having lost its gilt and leather with some age / small scrapes. The sword sheathes and draws well. Leather all weather carry case is a little aged with surface cracking but is good still.
