The supremely well dark grey etched blade is in very good, near new condition, and firm in the hilt. The hilt with crossed swords and batons to the cartouche is in very good condition save for a tiny loss. The ivorine grip is very good except for a small light surface clear brown burn mark just below the damaged cartouche section of the hilt. The oiginal general’s rank sword knot is aged but good. The steel scabbard for field service officers is good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
