VGC = Very Good Condition. ERII = Queen Elizabeth 2nd. Reportedly, Wilkinson Sword made most if not all of Gieves’ swords; the quality of this sword is very good (of Wilkinson standard). There is no serial number but what appears to be a blade type ref / number on the the spine, partly hidden by the hilt. No officer’s name to blade or folding guard section.

The quality grey / gray etched 31 1/4 inch blade is in very good condition, minimal rubbing wear, firm in the hilt. The hilt with much gilt remaining and folding guard section working well is in very good condition, some old dried polish cream in crevices (can be quite easily carefully removed). The faux fishskin grip has small patches of wear / loss of the surface whitening, but is good. The sword knot has some age / dulling but is good. The leather and gilt brass fittings scabbard is good, some gilt wear, a small ding to the chape. The sword sheathes and draws well.
Quality ERII RN RAN / RNZN / RCN officers sword in likely parade / service condition, £600. Please quote item reference ZX90. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 2067 97 x 16 x 15 (2.109).
