2 Luk is the number of curves in the blade. Made primarily for the Bersih Desa (countryside cleansing) ceremony in Java and Bali, it is an amulet offering normally buried to protect the countryside form evil spirits and guarantee a good harvest. This example escaped the fate of being burried and has a great pamor adeg (forging pattern). Keris Sajen are also described by foreigners as “Keris Majapahit”, which basically means ancient keris. Traditionally forged with folded steel / iron.

The 10 1/2 inch blade section is in good condition, some aging to the blade’s edges. The keris is one piece. The hilt section is in good condition. There is no sheath (likely never was).
Very good example (two luk plus quality forging plus in good condition), just £200. Please quote item reference ZX85. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 2071 36 x 10 x 11 (0.51).
