No maker’s name or royal cypher to date it, but grey / gray etching and “colichemarde” blade pretty much means circa 1840. Thia is a well above average early Victorian courtsword.

The 31 1/8 well etched Colichemarde blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The superb beaded steel hilt and grip are in exceptionally good condition. The leather and steel fittings scabbard has some age and slight scuffing but is in incredibly good condition for its circa 185 year old age. The sword sheathes and draws well.
A must for any serious Victorian courtsword collector; grab it quick though, just £500. Please quote item reference ZX52. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 2033 107 x 16 x 15 (1.45).
