Sandon and Co were a high quality Savile Row tailors in London from Victorian times to the 1960’s. There is nothing but the style, the scabbard materials and blade etching type that allows us to date this court sword, but we believe 1950’s, possibly earlier.

The 31 inch well etched blade is in very good condition, the etching still vivid / very clear, and firm in the hilt. The gilt hilt, guard and grip all very good. The faux leather and gilt metal scabbard is also very good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
Stunning example at a very fair price, was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference ZX38. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box?
