Acid silver test shows high levels of silver (see photo); blood red = very high silver content.
The 7 inch steel blade is in good condition except for where it joins the hilt, where there is corrosion. Blade firm in the silver and horn hilt; the hilt / grip is aged but good. The silvered sheath / scabbard has age damage to the mouth rim, but otherwise is quite good. The jambiya sheathes and draws well with care (regarding the rim).
