Silver acid tested; see photo, the blood red result is for very high (Sterling) silver content – likely a thin outer sheet / layer – the filigree work is unlikely to be silver. 20th Century, probably 1950’s.
The 5 1/2 inch steel blade is in very good condition. The hilt and sheath are in aged but good condition. The jambiya sheathes and draws well.
