VGC = Very Good Condition. Serial number 108279 for 1979. Attached original British Crown Office stores label dated 17th July 1979. Colonial Malaysian police badge etched to blade and formed to the guard’s catouche.
Goat skin covered scabbard – that’s what the label says! Clearly cow hide and / or pig skin not advisable due to religious taboos.
32 1/4 inch well etched blade in very good condition; some light tiny surface rust spots and light crazing one side; firm in the hilt. The plated steel hilt / guard with a light milky tarnish (fairly easy to carefully remove and buff bright again). The black faux fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings are all very good. The black goat’s skin scabbard has a little age and wear but remains very good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
Come on, a genuine Wilkinson Sword with goat’s skin scabbard in near mint / unused condition for only was £? (too late, now sold)! Please quote item reference ZW91. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 2201 105 x 13 x 13 (1.536).
