Circa 1890, either West Javanese or Balinese Indonesian Keris Godoan with Bendo Sagodo Circles Pamor (sometimes referred to as “Boiled Fruit” pamour. The blade clearly traditionally very well made. The hilt and sheath may be later replacements specifically made for the blade. This is a quality keris somewhat belied by its simple form.
The fine 16 3/4 inch blade has age and wear, but the circles type pamor is still visible. Blade firm in hilt; the Ganga upper blade cross piece section with remnants of fine gold decoration. The Mendak cup with orange glass beads / gems / stones is in good condition. The Ukiran two tropical woods handle / hilt is in aged and slightly worn yet good condition. The Warangka sheath is aged but very good. The keris sheathes and draws well.
