With the Brazilian royal cypher of Dom Pedro II of Brazil stamped to the blade’s forte. Circa 1840.
The plain 34 3/4 inch blade is aged with patchy patina throughout and firm in the hilt. The 3 bar steel guard is sound but with age and wear. The ribbed grip is very aged and worn with most of the leather gone, plus splits, but sound. The steel scabbard is aged, worn, dented and with small holes / splits. The sword sheathes and draws loosely.
