Marked at the forte to retailer Adolf Braun of Berlin. Stamped “0. 729” (possibly for July 1929).
The 29 1/4 inch plain pipe back blase is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The lions head hilt is also very good with both outer and inner folding guards working well. The ivorine (faux ivory) grip also very good, as are the twisted grip wire bindings. The remains of the sword knot are tied around the top scabbard locket. The brass and leather scabbard has a kink and a tape repaired tear in the leather, otherwise quite good. The sword sheathes and draws quite well with care.
