Very rare 1910 model Royal Danish Army / Artillery / Engineer Corps Dirk / Dagger and Sheath / Scabbard. A serviceman (not officer) issued item, hence the issue numbers “18” to both the scabbard’s chape and suspension locket. Circa World War One.
The 8 inch plain blade has been rounded at the point (decommissioning safety measure) and has some light patina patches but is still good and firm in the hilt. The hilt’s brass cross guard, ferrule and pommel are good, the wooden grip has some wear / age but is still good. The leather with brass fittings scabbard is good. The dirk sheathes and draws well.
