London Maker / Retailer marked. Leather hilt / guard insert present. Remains of orriginal sword knot. Lyre scabbard chape. Frog button and suspension rings. 1822 to 1837.
The 32 inch quill pointed pipe backed blade with early tablet etching is worn / aged but in good condition and firm in the hilt. The gilt brass hilt with folding guard secton is in very good condition for its age. The sword knot is missing its plume, fraying and aged, but a bonus., as is the aged guard’s leather insert. The leather and brass fittings scabbard is above average. The sword sheathes and draws well.
