VGC = very good condition.
Late World War Two; faux rayskin, plain iron guard / tsuba, etc.
Etched hamon; showato non-traditional method made blade.
Unsigned; painted ID and anchor stamp only to tang / nakago
The 27 1/2 inch nagasa (cutting edge section excluding habaki) blade is in good condition but the etched hamon is streaky (worn). The tsuka / hilt is firm and the fittings good. The saya is in good order; the end fitting (koiguchi) looks like a composite with a spacer (seppa). The sword sheathes and draws well.
