Go Google! Several swords that falsely claim to be rare United States Second Seminole War Wagon Wheel Sabres, but where oh where are their round guards?! This one is marked / dated “PP 1842” to the blade.
The 28 inch blade is well aged (pitted) in places, plus has some period cutting edge nicks / damage, but is sound and firm in the hilt. The steel and wood hilt with round wagon wheel guard has some pitting but is generally good; the wood grip with age drying and plenty of wear is nonetheless sound. Scabbard long absent.
