Frederick Guy Lewin / RMS Lusitania sinking article.
This / his sword is not believed to have been with him. It has been retroactively etched to him and his death date of 7th May 1915 when he perished.
The 32 1/8 inch blade has been “cleaned” of virtually all of its etching, but is in good order and firm in the hilt. Blade firm in the hilt. The plated steel hilt with Victoria “VR” cypher has rust patches and age throughout. The fishskin grip is aged / worn a little, but good; the twisted grip wire bindings remain very good. The leather field service scabbard is fair generally but has lost part of its chape / drag. The sword sheathes and draws well.
