Home refurbishment! Strip down and polish the hilt for a very good sword!
Wilkinson serial number 61467 for 1928. Initals “J L G” to the blade. Cheshire Regimental badge to the blade.
The 32 inch well etched blade is in good condition; minimal wear and little patina, plus firm in the hilt. The plated steel hilt has plating loss and inert rust / patina, though is sound. The black fishskin grip has some age (fading) etc. but remains good; the twisted grip wire bindings have some wayward lesser strands in places on one side. The leather field service scabbard is actually quite good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
This Cheshire Regiment Wilkinson Sword is crying out for TLC to make it the bargain of the year at only £375. Please quote reference ZV05. Further / full size photos available upon request. Box 2254 103 x 13 x 13 (1.62).
