Circa 1860
The 27 3/4 inch blade has some very feint remnants of markings, light / cleaned pitting, some nicks to the cutting edge, is in good shape and firm in the hilt. The brass anchor hilt / guard is good but has a couple of period breaks. Fishskin grip good but aged / worn / faded; there are no twisted grip wire bindings. The 60% or so remains of the scabbard are aged and worn. The cutlass sheaths and draws tightly due to leather shrinkage.
