Look at the Edwardian style ERII British Royal Cypher to the guard and blade. It is not the normal official cypher but an early 1952 version directly after the death of her father, King George VI, before her 1953 coronation when her official cypher was agreed and approved; Rare, rare, rare!
No maker’s or retailer’s details. The brass proof stud with the letter “T”.
The 32 inch well etched blade is in very good condition, some age / wear, firm in the hilt. The plated steel hilt / guard has age / wear (slight scuffing) but is still very good. The leather faux snakeskin grip is in very good condition; the twisted grip wire bindings lesser strands are ever so slightly astray in places but remain very good. The plated steel scabbard is aged but good, a very small ding one side. The sword sheathes and draws a little tightly if not careful as one of the interior wooden slats is loose.
