The 34 1/2 inch blade is firm in the grip and hilt. The hilt / bowl guard with most WW1 camouflage paint remaining is in good though aged condition. The composite grip is aged but still good. There are the remains of the original leather sword knot attached. The steel scabbard, also with original camouflage paint, is aged but good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
This 1908P sword clearly came back from WW1 with the trooper, went into an attic and stayed there. Untouched original examples like this are extremely rare. Worth every penny of was £?
