This is a museum grade Sulawesi Klewang (click here to see what we believe is a lesser museum example). Horn grip and layered steel quality blade; they don’t come better.
The 21 inch layered / folded steel blade is in very good condition, fair wear and tear for age, and firm in the horn grip and the hilt. The horn grip is made up of two sections which are clearly now showing their join, plus the horn has age related cracks and chips as to be expected. The sheath / scabbard with age but good. The klewang sheaths and draws well.
