Very well (top maker) made sword but no retailer’s name to the ricasso / forte, so either bought / sold in a hurry or the retailer was too small to warrant having an etching plate at the makers.

The 31 1/4 inch blade is overall very good with etching clear; some small rust / patina spots / patches, some wear, firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard good. The fishskin grip and associated grip wire bindings are good. Sword knot with some age / wear is also good. The leather and brass fittings scabbard with wear / age is still good. The sword sheathes and draws well and the folding section of the guard locates well onto the securing pin of the scabbard. The belts with wear are still quite good. The all weather carry bag is very aged and worn.
Nice sword, nice ensemble, nicer price: was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference Z90. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1622-106x15x14 (1.995).
