Worn inscription to spine shows 1855. Possible bullet mark to blade. Sold in untouched condition; would clean up.
The 22 5/8 inch blade is in good worn / aged condition and has what appears to be a bullet or musket ball mark to the blade. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt good but grubby; the locking pin absent. The period browned steel scabbard in aged bu good condition. The bayonet sheathes and draws well.
