With date stamps for 1950 and 1957 to the blade’s spine. The leather strap having a NATO part number and the year 1995 to it. This sword has only recently been decommissioned.
The regulation 35 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The polished steel hilt / bowl guard in very good condition, some wear / age but not much. The checkered composite grip in a little worn / aged but good condition. The leather sword knot and strap with some age / grubbiness are sound / good. The plated steel scabbard with a little wear and minor dings is good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
