This would be a super little dirk but has been taken / come apart and been glued back badly; the grip is clearly up from where it should be on the blade’s tang and I think I can see the edge of glue under the pommel. If it were mine, if I was a collector on the hunt for a bargain, I would gently take it apart and reassemble it better.
The 7 3/4 inch blade is good but aged and the point end has a wobble (is bent). Blade firm in the hilt but the cross guard is loose due to the space between the blade’s shoulder and the grip / hilt. The grip with age cracks and some some scuffs.
Actually a lovely little dirk with a good blade and lovely pommel. Well worth was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference Y68. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1470-39x17x16 (0.338).
