Complete with original sword knot and with matching rack numbers to the blade and scabbard, this is one impressive, fearsome, iconic beast of a sword, and it has been sharpened! Read about the Swedish 2nd Life Cavalry Regiment here.
The straight 37 1/2 inch blade with sharpened spear point and cutting edge is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The solid brass hilt in very good condition. The blackened wooden grip in worn but good condition. The chemically browned steel scabbard in very good condition. The white leather sword knot aged and grubby but good. The sword sheathes and draws well. Weighs a massive 2.123 Kg in total.
