Etched to Batson London, serial number 4162 to spine; Batson was a sword cutler from 1910 to 1933.

The deep etched 31 3/4 inch blade is in very good, if not as new condition, and firm in the hilt. The brass hilt / guard is in very good condition with much gilt remaining. The faux fishskin grip and associated grip wire bindings are good to very good. The sword knot in very good condition. The leather and brass fittings scabbard is very good save for a slight ineffectual kink just short of the top locket. The folding guard section of the hilt works well and locates onto the scabbard securing pin as it should.
In exceptional condition and fit for service to this day. Yours for was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference X87. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1359-101x19x16 (1.929).
