No maker’s or retailer’s name etched to the ricasso, so probably 1917-1918 when production was more important than detail.

The 32 3/8 inch blade is well etched and in good to very good condition, plus firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard very good. The faux fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings are in good condition, some staining but not much. The leather field service scabbard has a lot of scrapes but is good (we added some leather balsam as it was dry, so maybe a little tacky to the touch for a while). The sword sheathes and draws well.
Good honest example at a good price, was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference X75. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1335-121x19x16 (2.009).
