Most likely mid to late 1800’s (19C), these are seldom seen on the market. The Laz (or Lazi) people inhabit the south east shores of the Black Sea near the Turkish – Georgian border. This is a fearsome weapon, very sharp to this day; this sword blade would cut human flesh like ham off the bone.



27 3/4 Inch blade in very good condition and firm in the hilt. Leather grip bound black horn hilt.
