Look, many dealers / sellers claim their dhas are silver without having conducted silver tests; we have tested this dha for silver and it is, silver (see photos below with blood red proof from acid tests). And many dealers / sellers also claim their dhas are Shan / Dai (tribe), when they are not; Shan Dai Dhas have large lotus flower bulbous pommels like ours does. Ours is a true / authentic 19th Century Silver Burmese / Chinese Shan Dai Dha.
18 Inch high grade steel sharp blade in good condition and firm in the hilt. The silver hilt in good condition but with wear, some black and plenty of brown tarnish as you would expect from something this age. The silver scabbard in very good condition for its age and the wooden interior appears sound. The sword sheathes and draws well. Total length of unsheathed sword is 31 7/8 inches.
