Armenian / regional script to one side of the blade. The blade is not true Damascus but of that kind, hand forged, layered steel, wootz like, and deadly; the blade is exceptional and exceptionally sharp to this day. The quality of the metalwork to the hilt and scabbard while being rustic is exceptionally high.
The 68.6 cm blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt and grip are both very good, the bronze and brass work with a superb patina. The brass clad leather scabbard has age but is very good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
