Wilkinson serial number 62801 for 1931. Jammu and Kashmir now is regularly fought over by India, Pakistan and China.
The 32 1/8 inch very sharp (period sharpened) blade is in good condition, the etching quite clear but with patina throughout, the very tip with dark patina and very minor damage. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt with some pating loss, etc. is good overall. The grip has patches of fishskin missing. The twisted grip wire is mostly complete and good. The plated steel scabbard is in similar condition to then hilt. The sword sheathes and draws quite well.
