Serial number 37986 for 1900. The blade etched “Presented to Lieut. & Quarter Master J. W. May. R. H. Arty. by some brother officers and friends 1900”. The fact this is a Patent Solid hilt is confirmed both by the special Wilkinson Sword logo and the wide tang forming part of the grip itself.
35 Inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard has some tarnish and spotting but is otherwise good. The grip in good condition. There is no scabbard; if there were, we would be asking over twice the price we are.
