The shorter 28″ blade and flaming bomb motif etched to the blade show this is for an Italian Grenadier officer, WW1 era.2
The 28 inch blade is well etched and in good condition. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt tarnished / aged, some small rust spots. Original black painted grip with some wear but good. The steel scabbard with several rust patches. The sword sheathes and draws well.
The blade is the high point, for sue. Yours for was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference Q15. Full sized / additional photos available upon request. Box 0347-1m (1.765).
