Guaranteed authentic WW2 British commando knife. The 6 15/16 inch blade has the solid (cast) grip variation of the Beaded / Roped / Ringed / Ribbed / Ridges F-S hilt; not the most attractive of hilts but of course absolutely solid and firm. For similar, see plate 58 of Allied Military Fighting Knives. The knife is 12 1/54 inches long in total; everything firm of course. The original leather sheath is well worn and aged, clearly this knife saw active service. It would be easy to “clean” the blade and paint the hilt / grip, but we like this one just the worn way it is.
Such a rare (cast) version of the Fairbairn Sykes, we are under-pricing this one at was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference number H90. Full sized photos available upon request. Box 1030-0.5 (0.390)
