The 32 5/8 inch blade is in very good condition, some etching is faded however. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt with two folding guard sections (both working) is in slightly worn but nonetheless good condition. The composite Bakelite type grip is good. The sword knot is in good condition. The plated steel scabbard has area of plating loss giving rise to base metal oxidisation (light rust), but is still good. Thw sword sheathes and draws well.
