Mei (signature) = 神田住兼常 Kanda Ju Kanetsune. Jokyō era (1684-1688).
The 23 1/4 inch nagasa (cutting edge section excluding habaki) blade is better one side than the other. It has a ccouple of nicks to the cutting edge, and some ware showing through. Furniture is mostly good and firm. Saya / scabbard in good order; the sword sheathes and draws well.
