Georgian = King William IV / King George IV; this sabre is etched to the former; “PROSSER Maker to the King” (with the royal cypher of King William IV).
NB The chip in the ivory grip one side could likely be repaired with ivory repair resin. Ivory exemption certificate: 9JB1JCF3.
The very well etched 30 inch blade is in very good condition (one side has a few small patina spots) and is firm in the hilt. The gilt metal hilt / guard is a little aged / worn but good. The ivory grip has dryness hairline cracks one side, some age yellowing and a chip the other, but overall the grip is good, plus all four rosettes present. The brass scabbard has a few dings and slight creases but remains good nonetheless. The sword sheathes and draws well.
