With rare rudimentary Kobuse certifucation stamp and mei “Shōshin Kōbuse kitae Kaneyoshi saku”, the variation of the Yoshi character indicates Yoshida Kaneyoshi.
Shoshin: Often means authentic or true/original.
Kobuse Kitae: A traditional Japanese sword construction method where a hard steel (hagane) is wrapped around a softer core steel (shingane). This technique balances a sharp, hard edge with a flexible spine.

Note: there is a small fukure flaw blister on the blade’s edge
The 26 3/4 inch nagasa (cutting edge section excluding habaki) blade is good save for a small fukure type blister on the cutting edge close to the habaki, good gunome hamon. The tsuka’s ITO is worn with some fraying, but sound; the rayskin base is good. The saya / scabbard is aged, the leather short of the top and riding above the bottom. The sword sheathes and draws well.
