Note the crown above the fouled anchor on the langet; 1800 pattern sword (1805 patterns have a plain anchor). Fine ivory grip for a senior / well to do officer.
Ivory permit / registration ref: GAEF9MMX – this allows us to legally sell it.
The 26 1/8 inch blade with traces of blue and gilt etching is aged (patina patches abound) but sound and firm in the hilt. The gilt brass hilt / guard is in good but aged order. The finely carved criss cross ivory grip is in aged (yellowed) condition and has a small chip under / near the backpiece one side but is very good considering; the silver metal twisted grip wire bindings are very good too. The (part) scabbard is aged and worn, plus the bottom section including the chape are absent. The sword sheathes and draws well.
