Etched to Alex Coppel and H Diebold Zurich, a Swiss model 1867 Cavalry Officer’s Sword, Scabbard & Knot. Swiss cross to the guard and blade. Swiss coat of arms to the pommel.
The 34 1/2 inch inch blade is in very good condition, some age / wear / very small edge blisters, firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard very good, some small rust bubble patches to edge. The fishskin grip faded / slightly worn but good; the silver metal twisted grip wire bindings are good. Sword knot with some ageand fading / wear, but good. The steel scabbard with some small dings near the drag but good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
